LIGA HOSTING LTD is a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. We operate under the brands ligahosting.com (international services: VPS, cPanel web hosting) and ligahosting.ro (game hosting). We have been active since 2019 and serve customers in over 30 countries, with infrastructure in 4 datacenters across Europe and North America.
02 Definitions
In this document:
- "Service" means any product ordered from us, including but not limited to VPS servers, cPanel web hosting accounts, game servers and domain registrations.
- "Client" means the natural or legal person who has created an account or purchased a service.
- "Account" means the user profile created in the client area.
- "Content" means any data, files, software, websites, databases, emails or any other materials stored, hosted or transmitted via the Services.
- "Billing period" means the chosen interval (daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, biennial, triennial) for which a Service is paid.
03 Eligibility and account registration
To use our Services you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. Legal entities must be represented by a person legally authorised to do so.
On registration you undertake to provide complete, accurate and up-to-date information. The use of a false identity, false contact details or temporary email addresses is prohibited and may lead to immediate closure of the account without refund.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities carried out through your account. You must notify us immediately at contact@ligahosting.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) from the client area.
04 Description of services
We offer three main categories of services:
- VPS Hosting — virtual private servers with root access, provisioned through our VirtFusion platform. Specifications (CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth) are those indicated on the product page at the time of ordering.
- Web Hosting (cPanel) — shared hosting accounts on servers running cPanel/WHM, including daily backups, free SSL (Let's Encrypt) and one-click WordPress installer.
- Game Hosting — game servers provided through the ligahosting.ro brand, subject to additional terms published on that site.
We reserve the right to modify the specifications of new products at any time. Changes that adversely affect existing services will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
Activation of services is generally instantaneous. In exceptional cases (manual anti-fraud review, high-value orders, cryptocurrency payments requiring blockchain confirmation), activation may take up to 24 hours.
05 Billing and payment
All Services are billed in advance, for the chosen billing period: daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, biennial or triennial. Prices displayed on the site are in EUR and do not include VAT applicable in your jurisdiction.
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/debit cards — processed via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayPal
- Cryptocurrencies — processed via CoinPayments (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and others)
- Account credit — topped up in advance via any of the methods above
Invoices are issued automatically before the due date and sent by email. Auto-renewal can be enabled or disabled at any time from the client area. If auto-renewal is active and account credit is sufficient, payment will be made automatically on the due date.
06 Late payments, suspension and termination
If an invoice remains unpaid past its due date, the following schedule applies:
- Day 1-2 past due: automatic reminder emails
- Day 3: the service is automatically suspended. Your data remains on the servers but the service becomes inaccessible to end users
- Day 7: final termination warning
- Day 14: the service is terminated and all data is permanently deleted. It cannot be recovered
We are very serious about the 14-day deadline. Data deleted after termination cannot be recovered, for any reason. We strongly recommend that you always maintain external backups of important data.
Reactivation of a suspended service is generally automatic after payment. Reactivation of a terminated service requires a new order and does not guarantee retention of the same IP, hostname or any data.
07 Money-back guarantee and refund policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new customers, applicable to the first order of a hosting service (VPS or Web Hosting). The refund request must be made in writing to contact@ligahosting.com within the first 30 days of activation.
The 30-day guarantee does not apply to:
- Domain registrations or transfers (non-refundable costs to TLD registrars)
- Setup fees explicitly marked as non-refundable
- Dedicated servers or customised resources with specific hardware
- Renewals (only the first activation qualifies)
- Accounts terminated for violation of these Terms
- Payments made in cryptocurrency (for operational reasons, crypto refunds are made only as account credit)
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 3-10 business days. Residual account credit can be withdrawn via PayPal or applied to future orders.
08 Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Sending unsolicited email (spam), marketing lists without opt-in, phishing schemes
- Hosting malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, exploit kits, botnet command panels
- Phishing sites, scams, pyramid schemes, financial fraud
- Content exploiting minors (CSAM) — any such content will be immediately reported to the competent authorities without exception
- Distribution of copyrighted material without authorisation
- DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute force against third-party systems
- Cryptocurrency mining on shared cPanel plans (allowed on dedicated VPS)
- Anonymous public proxy/VPN services, Tor exit nodes (restricted to dedicated plans with prior agreement)
- Game servers on web hosting plans (dedicated to web only)
- Content promoting violence, terrorism, hate or discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, sex or sexual orientation
- Any activity that violates applicable laws in the United Kingdom or the client's jurisdiction
Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension of services, without refund, and reporting to the competent authorities when necessary.
09 Resource use and abuse
The resources indicated in each plan (CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth, email accounts, etc.) represent maximum contractual limits. Constant use of 100% of CPU or other resources may constitute abuse, especially on shared (cPanel) plans.
In case of abusive use or use that negatively affects other clients on the same physical server, we reserve the right to:
- Temporarily limit the allocated resources (throttling)
- Request an upgrade to a higher plan or migration to a VPS
- Suspend the service in serious or repeated cases
"Unlimited" bandwidth refers to normal web traffic for a typical website. Large file distribution, media streaming, download servers or use as a CDN are not covered by shared hosting plans.
Storage included in web hosting plans is intended exclusively for website content. Its use as off-site backup, archive or personal file space is not permitted.
10 Service Level Agreement (SLA)
We guarantee a monthly availability of 99.9% for our network and core infrastructure. This corresponds to a maximum unplanned downtime of approximately 43 minutes per month.
The following are excluded from the SLA calculation:
- Planned maintenance, announced at least 48 hours in advance (usually outside peak hours)
- Outages caused by DDoS attacks exceeding our mitigation capacity
- Force majeure (natural disasters, war, large-scale national internet outages)
- Issues caused by the client's code, configuration or actions
- Issues caused by third-party software (CMSes, plugins, game servers)
- Actions or inaction of the client's internet service provider
If we fail to meet the 99.9% SLA in a calendar month, you are entitled, upon request, to an account credit equal to 5% of the monthly payment for each 1% of unmet SLA, up to a maximum of 50% of the monthly payment. The request must be made within 30 days of the incident at contact@ligahosting.com.
11 Backups and data recovery
For web hosting (cPanel) plans we perform automatic daily backups, kept for 7 days. Restoring a backup on client request is free once every 30 days; subsequent restorations may be charged at EUR 10 per restoration.
For VPS, backups are NOT included by default. You are responsible for your own backups. We can provide snapshots or additional backups for a fee; details on request.
Our backups are intended for disaster recovery at the server level, not to protect you against your own mistakes. We strongly recommend that you maintain independent external backups for all critical data. We do not guarantee the integrity or availability of our internal backups and are not liable for data loss beyond the value of the paid service.
12 Client data and content
All data and Content stored on our Services remain the exclusive property of the Client. We claim no ownership rights over your Content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to store, copy (for backup and redundancy purposes) and transmit your Content, solely for the purpose of providing the Services.
You are solely responsible for:
- The legality of the hosted Content
- Compliance with copyright and trademarks
- Compliance with data protection legislation (GDPR for data about EU residents)
- Obtaining end-user consent where necessary
Upon account closure, your Content is deleted from our systems within a maximum of 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain (invoices, tax records).
13 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of LIGA HOSTING LTD towards you, regardless of cause (contract, negligence, statutory breach, etc.), is limited to the amount actually paid by you for the relevant Service in the last 12 months.
We are not liable for:
- Indirect, consequential, special or punitive losses
- Loss of profit, revenue or business opportunities
- Data loss exceeding the value of the Service
- Outages caused by third-party providers (DDoS protection, cPanel, VirtFusion, domain registrars)
- Issues caused by the client's code, configuration or actions
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be legally excluded under English law.
14 Domain registrations
For domain registrations or transfers we act as an intermediary between you and the relevant TLD registrars (Verisign for .com/.net, ICI-RoTLD for .ro, Nominet for .uk, etc.).
By registering a domain through us you agree to the respective registrar's terms and ICANN's. Domains are subject to TLD-specific policies and cannot be cancelled or refunded after registration, in accordance with industry rules.
You are solely responsible for:
- Timely renewal of domains
- Keeping WHOIS information accurate and up to date
- Compliance with rules specific to each TLD
- Avoiding registration of domains that infringe third-party trademarks
Expired domains enter a 30-day grace period, followed by a redemption period with additional fees from the registrar. After this, the domain becomes publicly available.
15 Affiliate program
Our affiliate program offers a recurring commission of 10% of every invoice paid by a client brought in through your referral link. The minimum withdrawal threshold is EUR 20.
The following practices are strictly prohibited:
- Self-referral (using your own link for your own purchases)
- Spamming, unwanted forum postings, fake positive reviews
- Paid advertising using our registered trademarks
- "Incentivised" practices that mislead users (fraudulent cashback, fake reviews)
- Promotion on sites with content unsuitable under the Acceptable Use Policy
Commissions arising from violations of these rules are cancelled, the affiliate account may be closed and previously paid amounts may be reclaimed.
Payments to affiliates are made via PayPal, cryptocurrency or account credit, within a maximum of 3 business days of the withdrawal request.
16 Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Minor changes (clarifications, spelling corrections) take effect upon publication. Material changes (those that significantly affect your rights or obligations) will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the changes, you may close your account and request a pro-rata refund for the paid, unused period.
17 Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. Before initiating legal action, both parties agree to attempt amicable resolution through direct discussion or mediation by a neutral third party.
For clients who are consumers (natural persons acting outside their commercial activity) residing in the European Union, they retain the right to initiate actions in the courts of their member state of residence, in accordance with European consumer protection legislation.
